UPDATED IN SPRING 2022 WITH PHOTOS OF OVER 100 ADDITIONAL CREW MEMBERS!

This keepsake book is dedicated to the men and families of USS Indianapolis (CA-35) who continue to inspire and remind us to "Never Give Up!" Included in the publication is a 60-page yearbook style section including individual photos of the brave young men who served on the final, fatal voyage. Also included is an in-depth review of the ship's lasting legacy -- past, present and future. Since the initial publication in July 2020, additional crew photos have been found. This updated volume reflects the most up to date collection of crew data.

Description

The year 2020 provided us an opportunity for reflection about the past and contemplation about the future. Time passes and memories fade if we don't share them. This keepsake book is dedicated to the men and families of USS Indianapolis (CA-35) who continue to inspire and remind us to "Never Give Up!" It was first published in commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the sinking of USS Indianapolis (CA-35) and the loss of 879 Sailors and Marines. This is the third update. The book provides an easy to follow summary of the story of the heavy cruiser Indianapolis, its past, present and future. The search continues for missing crew photos - with an ultimate goal of  representing the entire final sailing crew.
