Description

With over 100 real-life lessons, "Thriving in a Global Pandemic and Beyond" helps you develop the skills you need to flourish in any environment. Based on the latest research in resiliency, positive psychology, cognitive behavior, neuroscience, and mindfulness, this book delivers simple advice to establish healthy habits, less stress and anxiety, and help busy people just like you!

Here are just a few of the success stories and comments about the positive impact these practices have had on the lives of higher education students and employees working in a wide variety of industries:

  • "Due to these exercises, I have noticed a big improvement in my motivation levels and positivity."
  • "As a result of these practices, I find that I am able to concentrate longer without my thoughts running all over the place.”
  • “I have learned to block out all the nonsense of the future or the past and just focus on my current self. These practices also helped me realize that not everything is about me and that others need me as well.”
  • “I have seen great improvements in my work/life balance. The only thing I wish I could do differently is go back to a few years ago and start practicing earlier.”
  • “I’ve been using what I learned to bring me back to the present - when I get distracted at times. It’s improved my awareness. I’m listening better, not thinking about my response, but listening to what people really have to say.”
  • "Breathing is my biggest takeaway. It has made a huge change in my life. Even something as small as learning that if you can get control of your breath, you can do anything!"
  • "As a student, we are always looking to the future and not taking time to be present. It causes so much stress. With these exercises, I'm learning how to be more present and I'm learning how to forgive myself. I used to talk so negatively when something didn't go how I wanted it to. Now, I'm learning how to be grateful for what I can do."
About the author
