Singer/songwriter and photographer EG Kight shares insights and lessons learned from her pet goats. She's found that sometimes pets are the best examples of how to be loving, kind, and how to have fun. This picture book will draw young readers in, help them learn to read, and encourage them to be kind, be adventurous, and be the best person they can be.
Description
Author EG Kight draws on lessons she's learned from years of raising pet goats. With camera in hand, she's captured her goats in some humorous, mischievous, sweet, and loving moments that are good examples of how to be kind, loving, and how to have fun. With messages like "Don't be afraid to try new things" to "Be a good listener" to "Be yourself," this beautiful picture book is a children's guide to growing into loving, compassionate grownups. Things I've Learned from a Goat is for kids of all ages, and is a fun, lighthearted look at how goats get along, and how people can too.
About the author
EG Kight has strong faith, a deep love for her goats, and has performed music all of her life. People often ask her how she gets through life, and where her inspiration comes from. She simply replies "God, goats, and guitars!" As a professional touring entertainer, EG strives to lift people up with her music, storytelling, and sense of humor. Being a singer/songwriter, she has had many music industry nominations. Some of her songs have aired on major TV networks and in film. Several artists have recorded her songs, and she continues to write and record today. In addition to music, EG also has a passion for photography. "After being on tour, I enjoy coming home to Georgia, playing with my goats, and taking photos of them. I try to keep a camera nearby, so I'll be ready when my "kids" do something funny or interesting. They're comical, loving, and very unpredictable. I've captured some of those sweet, mischievous moments in this little book, and I hope it makes you smile."
