When Meryl was a child she knew she wanted to fly and see the world. Her story takes her all over the world, she was fluent in several languages and studied in France and Russia before she was eighteen. One day while in college she saw an article about learning to fly and at that point, she decided she was going to be an airline captain. The journey began an exciting sometimes frustrating journey. This is a story about that journey and is a must read for everyone, in particular, young girls that need some inspiration in meeting the challenges of pursuing things that were not always available to women.
About the author
The book "The World at My Feet" is Meryl's Bio. At a very young age, she was determined and persistent in the thing she wanted to do in life. Her first year in college she was hired to teach basic Russian to gifted high school students. While in college she decided that she was going to learn to fly and become an airline captain she was one of the women that broke the glass ceiling and did become an airline captain this book is her story. Meryl sucumbed to arare form of cancer june 19th 2019 and wrote another book detailing her cancer journey with much of the same humor in this book. The book is titled "Cancer We are not Amused"
