Overview
Everything you need to know about cheap wine – how to buy it, what to look for, how to tell if it's any worth buying – and written by someone who has made cheap wine his life's work.
Description
The wine industry sells wine based on intimidation, clever marketing, and more intimidation. Wine shouldn't be that way. It should be fun. That's the reason for this book, written by someone who has made cheap wine his life's work, and isn't ashamed to say so. It's everything you need to know about cheap wine – how to buy it, what to look for, how to tell if it's any worth buying.
About the author
Jeff Siegel, the Wine Curmudgeon, is a nationally known wine writer whose blog is one of the top 100 wine sites in the world. His work has appeared on the Internet, in newspapers, and regional and national magazines, usually focusing on cheap wine. His philosophy is simple: “The wine industry tries to intimidate consumers instead of educating them -- and nuts to that.” In addition, Siegel is the co-founder and former president of Drink Local Wine, the first locavore wine movement. He has written six books, including a travel series, and parts of four others. He lives in Dallas.
