About the author
Steve Moore, B.A, J.D, Author of the "The Truth about the Music Business" Steve began his music career very early when he began to play music professionally. Since then he has worked as a Singer/Songwriter, Studio Owner, Publisher, Recording Engineer, Record Producer, Live Sound & Lighting Production, and Independent Label Head for High Cotton Records. He worked as an Entertainment Lawyer in Nashville, TN where he represented a number of national & international acts. During that time in Nashville, he worked on other businesses such as On-line Multimedia, Inc. that did the first music download on the Internet EVER! He was also with American Resource Network, Inc. that worked throughout Russia in telecommunications. He has traveled to and worked in several countries including most E.E.C. Countries, He has attended MIDEM International Music Festival in Cannes, France numerous times. He regularly attended SXSW in Austin, Texas and other music festivals throughout the United States. He has lectured at a considerable amount of seminars/conferences on the music business throughout the Southeast as well as legal seminars throughout the Caribbean & Mexico for Entertainment Attorneys. He has been published as a contributing writer in numerous music publications and is the author of the book, "The Truth about the Music Business" (Thomson/ArtistPro) and soon to be published by ButterMilk Media. With the impending demise of the Music Business, Steve moved to Mississippi to take care of his family and worked in IT (Software and Hardware) as well as two Software Companies in both Entertainment and Financial Services and then created ButterMilk Media where he does Website Development, Consulting, and Social Media Management. He guest lectures at International Symposiums around the world for PCG, INC and Jerry Whitehead (Our Joint Venture Partner). Steve still does some Music Consulting and only plays live as often as he can. He spends his free time writing & recording music in his Studio.
