Overview

John Calabrace’s life has been in havoc since he was six years old. He spends his life fighting through a flood of memories,  and most all of those memories are not his own. The second he touches another person, he knows every emotion and memory of their lives—details that, try as he might, he can never forget. John quickly decides that his ‘gift’ is actually a curse. He tries to put it to good use, serving his country onboard the quiet solitude of a nuclear submarine. That relative peace is interrupted after being extracted and recruited into a world of espionage to unlock secrets of some of the more nefarious leaders and events in the world.

Is John an angel, is he a monster? The groups around him can’t decide. But there are dark forces working against him, forces he needs to find before they can find him. Because while John may know everyone else’s secrets, he has other secrets of his own, that he chooses to share with no one. If they fall into the wrong hands, there’s no telling what might happen. THE REFLECTION OF INNOCENCE, is an action-adventure/thriller with strong military influences.

About the author
John Tolliver’s debut novel The Reflection of Innocence was written long ago in his head. This story was burning to get out, and this year John decided to give it birth, putting words to paper hoping others might relate to it (and hopefully enjoy). After 6 years in the Navy on submarines followed by a 30+ year career in the nuclear energy field, John splits his time volunteering his services as a mediator and arbitrator in the New York courts, and working with animal rescue. Having spent most of his life in New York, he enjoys the serenity of his life living in the Hudson Valley. Traveling and visiting old friends, and making new ones breaks up the cold New York winters. A cruise ship zealot, John enjoys the seafaring life when time allows on-board the Celebrity fleet. His 20 year hobby of buying and selling gemstones has fortunately allowed him the opportunity to travel the globe and meet some of the awesome inhabitants along the way.
