Description
This story takes place in the 1950's when most men went to work, and wives stayed home as homemakers. When child abuse was not reported, and wives dare not question their husbands. This story is about two boys that are mentally and physically abused by their father and decide to runaway not realizing the dangers that lied ahead for them. The author's intention is to bring to light the plight of children everywhere who are mistreated by the very people they depend on for their survival. All descriptions of abuse in this novella are based on fact.
About the author
Joseph J Lanuto is a retired Designer from the electro/mechanical field. He is happily married to his high school sweetheart. He has two sons, four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. When he is not spending time with his family you can usually find him in his garage under the hood of one of his classic cars. Joseph and his family relocated from Long Island, New York to Smyrna, SC in 1995. He enjoys the slower pace and the country living in the south.
