Description
A detective story following a police detective's procedural investigation of a local triple murder which in turn leads to another triple murder outside his jurisdiction. From a Littleton IL small commodities trading firm to Chicago's version of the mafia, the "Outfit," Dectective Ploester follows leads that end with Illinois and federal agencies bumping heads with his small town police force. The reader will discover how a shy, not forceful man will combine forces with Salvatore Manny the Man Mancini, a Chicago mob capo, whose energy and force will cause thousands of 'dirty' dollars to be laundered and outside the U.S. Their fate will become 'Plod's' case.
About the author
I am a gnarly very senior citizen and still living in the upper mid-west, divorced with two grown and gone daughters. I try to walk 3 miles every morning which is when I get my best ideas for fiction writing. Long since retired, I have taken up writing, The Plodder is my 1st, and I also trade currencies, the forex or foreign exchange in a very small way. Writing keeps my imagination alive and currency trading keeps my mind active.I am not technologically savy, probably not even 'nerd' ranked by most who know me. If this novella at least pays for publishing expenses then I have two more in mind, all involving Detective Ploester aka the plodder. His walk is plodding and so is his investigative style so basically this book is in the police procedural style, watching the Littleton IL police department figure things out. Someday, I will write a "serious" novel that I have a draft outline written but I feel I must get Mr. Ploester out of my system first.
