The Old Red Truck

At the end of every day, a young boy anxiously awaits the arrival of an old red truck. Watching, waiting, and seeking help from his Mama, he strains to see anything moving outside his house. Will the red truck come down the road; whom will they find? This book is a tribute to any child who has waited a day, month, or year for a loved one to come home.

Lisa Miller graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point with a bachelor's degree in Art, Philosophy and Literature. After serving five years as an Army Officer with a combat deployment to Afghanistan, she transitioned to civilian life to pursue her passion for art and literature. Lisa lives in North Carolina with her Special Forces husband and two children. She writes and illustrates about everyday life as a military spouse.
