About the author


Jennifer Blackburn was born in Baltimore, Maryland. She graduated from Ramapo High School in Franklin Lakes, NJ and earned her degree in English and Writing from Ithaca College in New York State. Jennifer spent time studying abroad in 1980s London, England where she fell in love with history and art.

A life-long learner and  information junkie, Jennifer continued to hone her writing skills while raising children as a single mom and shifting career direction to work for a Fortune Eight company as a mid-level manager. Jennifer and her husband Jeff, live in Richmond, VA, and Sarasota, FL. They share six children who are beginning their new chapters as fabulous adults. "The [New] New Patriotism" is Jennifer's 1st book on a timely subject in need of a perspective from an "every person" rather than those in positions of power.
