Overview
The Merrimack Valley Works - Volume I, chronologically details the history of the company's locations from 1943 through the demolition of the factory in 2021. This volume documents the three companies - Western Electric, AT&T Network Systems, and Lucent Technologies - and many stories and events that molded the company's legacy.
Description

The Merrimack Valley Works - Volume I, details the history of the telecommunications companies that occupied the North Andover location from its construction in 1954 until the factory's demolition in 2021, Western Electric, AT&T (American Telephone and Telegraph) Network Systems, and Lucent Technologies. It also explores the locations that predated MVW as far back as 1943, including the Haverhill and Lawrence Shops locations.

The book details chronologically, every month's events including the company's people - management, support staff, engineering, and production associates - products, employee group activities, and of course, the state-of-the-art and cutting-edge-of-technology products, designed and manufactured by the greatest people on Earth.

Distinguished in this volume are the many company groups and their awarded members, the company's construction projects, and acknowledgement of the incredible contributions of the thousands of employees.
