With every day that approaches Lucy’s 18th birthday strange events and fear begin to consume her life. Lucy made a wish on a dandelion in a past life. The wish went horribly wrong. Now as the time for her eighteenth birthday nears, she feels a sense of foreboding. With each day that approaches she feels a piece of her mind come unhinged. Strange events begin to take over Lucy’s life as she fights for control of her mind, what is real and what isn’t. As the line blurs between reality and make believe, she realizes the dark fairytales she was told as a child were meant to do more than frighten her. They were meant to help lead her to safety. Following the faded trail of childhood memories, Lucy must go on a journey to find the answers she desperately needs to save her sanity. Answers that can only be found in the Dewdrop Forest. The Dewdrop Forest, a dark enchanted place where fairytales are abundant and visitors are highly unwelcome. A place where Lucy will soon learn that the fight is for far more then just her sanity, the real fight is for her soul.

Bianca Scharff is a person with enough strange memories to fill several books. Here she has taken the most impactful non-fiction moments from her life and placed them in a fiction setting where they belong. Having grown up in a house with ghosts and other such nonsense there was very little room for mundane moments or normalcy. Teaching her that some moments can never be retracted from your memory but can only be forever questioned. Leaving one to wonder, are the shadows really in the corners of your room or your mind?
