About the author
M.D. Spenser (born May 1, 1953) is the author of the Shivers series. The books were scary novels, aimed at readers from 8 to 12 years old. The Shivers books were published in between 1996 and 1998. Spenser also wrote the six-book Humano Morphs series. Both series have been out of print for some time, but the Shivers series is now being published as ebooks. There is an internet petition circulating asking for the Shivers series to be republished in its entirety in paperback. Spenser is an international journalist originally from the United States but based now in Belgium. He is writing a novel set in modern London, titled Some Say In Ice. He has also published a book about running and is working on a humorous memoir about his years in journalism. Spenser lives in Brussels with his family and his parrot.
