About the author
About the author: BZ Tebo didn't always dream of becoming an author. When she was younger she wanted to be an astronaut, a lawyer and a choreographer. After earning a Master of Social Work degree at The University of Michigan, she traded the Midwest winters for the California sunshine. She works as a licensed clinical social worker in San Diego, California. About the illustrator: Jorge Laparra is a fine artist born in Cuernavaca, Mexico. While children's book illustrations weren't always the focal point of his artistic career, he couldn't say no to the opportunity when his former therapist, who he now considers a colleague and friend, asked him to be part of this project. Arturo currently works out of his art studio in San Diego and continues to spread awareness for those struggling with mental health.
