It's the perfect blueprint guiding him in the utilization of all the talent he was given; he's created his own unique writing style. It all begins with his Irish roots and continues with the fact that he grew up in a hometown that would certainly remind you of a Norman Rockwell painting. He also takes advantage of his connection to the city of Boston and the island of Martha's Vineyard. They provide perfect backdrops for his story catapulting it to life as if you are along for the ride.
