Overview
Betty didn't think she was well suited for Angel Training Camp, but after contemplating her tiny angel wings while eating perfect chocolate chip cookies, she heard sobbing, so investigated. Thus began an adventure in helping another soul weather the COVID Pandemic, leading to Betty's own understanding of her angelic role.
Description
Betty is a frustrated guardian angel in Angel Training Camp, who inadvertently bails out of class while distracted, eating her favorite food: Heavenly chocolate chip cookies. After falling to Earth in a pile of cookie crumbs, Betty befriends a young girl, undergoing her own struggles living under the restrictions and fears of the COVID pandemic. Betty helps her new friend navigate her insecurities, and discovers in the process that even imperfect souls can contribute in ways they never foresaw. This angelic story demonstrates ways children and adults alike can adapt to the new world of COVID, with non-denominational, positive messaging about two imperfect souls helping each other transform and surmount challenges, both Earthly and Heavenly. Beyond this is a timeless message: stay positive, focus on what you can do vs. limitations, and try to help others in need.
About the author
Jennifer Maksimovich lives in heavenly Pauma Valley, CA with her dashing husband, Max, and her snuggly Italian Mastiff, Bella Blu. Writing books has always been a calling, ever since she wrote The Pig Book by "Book Maker" Jennifer at age 5. And although she has no children of her own, she enjoys being a stepmom to 3 beautiful, artistic souls and a favorite Teta to 8 nieces and nephews, serendipitously adding up to her lucky number '11'! And yes, she is a lot like Betty, never meeting a chocolate chip cookie she didn't like (or consume)!
