Overview
The Book of Rehab is a step-by-step, do-it-yourself guidebook about how to overcome an out-of-control drug habit — or any bad habit. It's a personal undo-it-yourself system that's easy to understand and act on. Written in street language and developed by musician, artist, author and former omni-abuser Skip Haynes, it's funny, it’s based on years of experience and stupidity — and it works.   The Book of Rehab is a last chance approach after everything else has been tried. It's also the most inexpensive drug rehab program available. If someone you know has a habit problem and you can't reach them, The Book of Rehab can do your talking for you.
Description
The Book of Rehab is designed to be used the instant someone decides they want to turn their life around. It’s a program developed for the real world that was used by the author and many other people to change their pattern of bad habits. The program was developed by a former drug abuser, and it’s designed to be used at home.    One of the book's primary functions is to act as a translator for the people around the abuser. Many times people are unable or afraid, or don't know what to say to someone they know who needs help. The Book of Rehab can literally do the talking for them. It says the things that they can't say because it's written in a street language that drug users will understand.   The guidebook introduces and educates users about many areas that are not usually mentioned in the drug rehab lexicon — areas that are deeply involved with everyday drug use but never considered. Some of these areas (once someone is made aware of them) that can help influence a positive change in habits include:               • Guns             • Environment             • International finance             • National security             • Impotence             • Prison             * Other drugs             * Other rehab programs   The Book of Rehab is a last chance approach after everything else has been tried, and at the same time it's the most inexpensive drug rehab program available. If someone you know has an out-of-control habit problem and you can't reach them, The Book of Rehab can do your talking for you. This is a short description because this is a short book. It has to be — it's for people on drugs.
About the author
Skip Haynes, formerly of the Chicago rock group Aliotta Haynes Jeremiah, now owns a record company in Los Angeles that creates music about, for and with animals. He was a long time substance abuser who didn’t want to go to jail, into a free rehab program, couldn’t afford any of the expensive rehab facilities but knew he needed to straighten up his act or die. He developed and began using this day-to-day, week-to-week program that totally turned his negative lifestyle around and kept him abuse free and happy for the past fifteen years. After going through the process he felt there were many people who were in the same situation he had been in who could benefit from the program he had developed for himself. Haynes has previously interviewed with NPR’s Weekend Edition, CNN with Jeanne Moos, ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox News, World News Tonight, , BBC, The L.A. Times, the New York Post, Newsweek, the St. Louis Post Dispatch, USA Today, the Washington Post, AARP Magazine and Life Magazine. He has been a guest on over 200 radio and television interviews. After he straightened up his act by himself, so many people asked him how he did it, he wrote down what he had done, turned it into a book/CD then handed it to them when ever he was asked how they (or a friend of theirs) could do the same thing.
