About the author
When she is not working on her writing, shuttling her daughter to school, play rehearsal, and dance classes, or enjoying time with her spouse, Christina enjoys antiquing, collaging, reading, playing on Pinterest, gardening, and visiting the mineral spring spa. No matter how busy she is, she always takes time for a quick break to do something she enjoys doing, whether for five minutes or an entire weekend. Christina has been encouraging mom writers to make time for their writing since she started teaching in 2001. Her students often remark how much better they feel about themselves and their lives after they have consistently taken time to express themselves. Christina works with professionally oriented writers, as well those who write for personal gratification. She believes writing for pleasure and for publication can and should be the same thing. She values self-expression, creativity, and joy, above all in life, and seeks these qualities in everything she does. Christina has been writing books for women and working with women writers for over a decade. She teaches writers to prosper by building solid, salable, life-long career skills that work even in a rapidly evolving publishing marketplace. She works with writers via classes, training groups, and writing challenges, using the most effective and reliable technologies available. Christina’s writing career tips and parenting advice appear regularly in national, regional, and online publications. Topics she writes about include: self-care for women, motherhood, creative couples, raising creative kids, educational success, value-based living, and enjoying pets. She is the author of books and workbooks that help writers take their skills to the next level in order to grow thriving writing careers. Christina holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Columbia College Chicago and a BA in English from Dartmouth College.
