About the author
Paul Schempp, Ed.D. is first and foremost a teacher. He loves teaching and continuing strives to discover ways to improve--a quest that has led to extensive research on teaching and coaching expertise. Named a Distinguished Scholar by the International Center for Performance Excellence at West Virginia University, he has dedicated his professional life to identifying what it takes to be expert. As a research professor and the Director of the Sport Instruction Research Laboratory at the University of Georgia, he has spent over a decade conducting award winning research into the characteristics and development of expertise. He has delivered over 200 programs in 28 countries on 3 continents making Professor Schempp an internationally recognized speaker, scholar, and consultant. He has served as a consultant for the Chinese Taiwan Olympic Committee, Golf Digest, GOLF Magazine, the Ladies Professional Golf Association, Professional Golf Association of America, International Professional Tennis Registry, Singapore Olympic Committee, and the Swiss Soccer Federation. He currently coaches several champions on the PGA and European Professional Golf Tours. Schempp holds and EdD in human movement studies from Boston University.
