One day her mom met a man who was very abusive and he molested her at the age of twelve.   She realizes that her struggle to move past the hurt was real! After 30 years of suppressing her feelings, Ingrid realizes that she had remained hurt as if she was the little girl who was abused.  Ingrid doesn't learn what love really is until she first learns how to love God.  Ingrid takes us on the journey to move beyond abuse.  Here she shares her inspiring story using many of her life lessons through difficult circumstances and unforeseen family changes and dynamics. About the author

Ingrid Alexander is the proud mother of three.  She earned her Associates Degree in Theology at the Ambassador Christian College (Kannapolis, NC). Ingrid has been running for the Lord since the age of twenty. She's not tired yet! Her spiritual gift of serving is to help others by speaking encouraging words and spreading the good news of Jesus Christ. She's gone above and beyond in her actions to help others. She volunteers for several organizations, churches, events and charities. Ingrid is also the visionary behind a worship service with the theme being, "Prayer, Praise, Power & Purpose!" dedicated to mental health awareness, prisons and families of inmates.Her passion for domestic violence awareness demonstrates her perseverance.  Ingrid is grateful to be the daughter of Dennis and Jessie Alexander, Philadelphia, Pa. She's also thankful for the love and support from friends and family who helped push her into this next phase of her journey.
