About the author
Apart from loving everything Goddess, Lila is inspired by the vibrancy of world music instruments and has extensively studied and taught Middle Eastern dance and music. With formal jazz training as a vocalist, she produces healing world music that moves with spirit and touches the soul. Lila is inspired by nature and has a deep connection with water and the ocean. She lives in Durban, South Africa and has traveled to places as far afield as Egypt and Australia in search of world music and dance inspiration.
On May 10th 2013, Goddess Music is releasing Lindie Lila’s new age album titled Sisters of the Moon, a collection of original new age healing Goddess chants accompanied by world music instruments and electronic grooves. The relaxing and meditative songs evoke a mood and ambiance perfect for sacred women's gatherings, gentle dance, veils, meditation, yoga, dreaming and ritual. The release is a follow up of her previous Goddess chant album Return of the Goddess (2008), which featured “We all come from the Goddess”, a chant by Zsuszanna Budapest. In addition to Lila’s own songs, the new album includes an a-Capella version of the traditional Goddess chant “May the Circle be Open”, as well as Lila’s own world music rendition of “Gayatri Mantra”.
