Myra Lewin is a wellness professional and educator in Ayurveda. A highly respected spiritual advisor and professional member of the National Ayurvedic Medical Association, she also trains Yoga teachers internationally with an emphasis on sustainable, conscious practice. She works extensively with clients in all phases of life and health. Myra lives on Kauai where she holds trainings, retreats, and grows her own delicious food on Durga Farms.
Myra Lewin has practiced, studied and taught Yoga, Ayurveda, nutrition, meditation, and energy management since the late 1980s. Her personal journey into the realm of healthy vegetarian eating and nature-based wellness began in the mid '70s.
Previously, Myra had a diverse career in the fields of medicine, executive management, and business consulting. Through Yoga and Ayurveda, Myra obtained complete healing from life-threatening diseases and has since guided many people from destructive habits to fulfilled and vital living.
Freedom in Your Relationship with Food: an Everyday Guide, Myra’s first book, offers innovative practical guidance from the principles of Ayurveda and Yoga. Based on decades of working with others, it explains how to reawaken our innate connection with nature and our inner knowledge of what is best for our health.
Myra offers individual counseling, meditation retreats, teacher-trainings, workshops, and conference presentations around the globe. She is also an organic farmer, mediator, and minister in The Church of Aesclepion Healing. She works with people in any stage of life, including the elderly and those recovering from addiction. Her in-depth knowledge of human anatomy, physiology and psychology enables her to approach people at their level, encouraging the integration of healthy, balanced practices as a foundation for life.
With a focus on growth and service, Myra enjoys world travel, surfing, hiking and playing with her dogs.
She offers a wide variety of educational and experiential opportunities for students of all levels. Students’ benefit from the example of her joy-filled life as much as from her teachings.
