The trumpet-playing priest at odds with the Church, The compulsive gambler who is saved from the Mob by a candy maker woman who loves him. The elderly man (the author's father, if he is to be believed) who fights an unfair traffic ticket, turning the courtroom into a circus. Oh, get this: the visit from the spirit (ghost?) of a legendary and notorious politician at a surreal luncheon meeting in Baton Rouge. Of course, some of these pieces are obviously "make believe" while the author suggests that others are true stories. The reader is challenged to decide which is which. So, you be the judge! Some pieces are humorous, others are poignant, and yet others share both qualities "Make believe" or true, the stories are original and likely to put a smile on your face. Why not give it a shot!

Milo Sobel is a rare bird. He self-effacingly refers to himself as a "failed Renaissance man." although he is accomplished as a world class consultant and lecturer, published composer, published journalist, author and poet, artist and designer. He earned his doctorate from Columbia University. Sobel also served as president of the National Society for Performance & Instruction (NYC) and was inducted into the Academy of Management.
