About the author
Liana Resles (pronounced Ray-lay) [born April 1970], is the American author of the bestselling, erotic, autobiographical Carleigh’s Confessions series. The first book in the series – Reckless Little 15 – was first published in 2012. Book two in the series is due out this year (2013). In 1970, Liana was born Leanne Lefner, to an Italian mother and Austrian father. Raised in the San Fernando Valley, Lefner studied computer information systems and education at California Lutheran University, before becoming the Chief Executive Officer of Lomax Art Studio & Gallery, LLC. Resles initially began writing poetry as a young teen, for which she has received local and national recognition. She also wrote a miniature cookbook for young children and distributed them to the students at the elementary school for which she was PTA President. Always having kept a diary, Liana concentrated hard on writing descriptively in her musings. When Liana met Carleigh*, and listened to some of her stories, Liana urged Carleigh to let her write a book about it. Liana felt that there were several areas of Carleigh’s life that has happened to more than just this one woman – areas that most parents were unaware, or chose to ignore; and, by bringing these events to the public’s attention, some children’s lives and self-esteem might be adjusted and preserved for the greater good. Liana formerly worked as an insurance claims adjuster and teacher, before becoming the CEO of Lomax Art Studio & Gallery, LLC. She currently resides in California with her partner, Rudy Hayes, their five children from previous marriages, and her mother. She was voted 2012 Woman of the Year by the National Association of Professional Women, and has received honors from the California State Senate and Legislature. *Name has been changed to protect the individual’s privacy.
