She grew up with an unconventional childhood, raised in a group home with over 100 other children who also were abused, neglected, and some abandoned. The stories Debbie shares help the reader connect with her on a personal level and understand her personal experience and knowledge of overcoming childhood challenges. Debbie believes in the importance of developing personal integrity and responsibility without blaming others. The steps in this book include forgiveness and acceptance, knowing who you are and what you stand for, determination, setting goals, and faith and hope. Debbie has also designed a program to present seminars to small groups based on these steps. She is available to speak to groups as a person who wishes to inspire and motivate others to do the work required in transforming their life. Debbie hopes that by sharing her stories of overcoming childhood trauma and everyday challenges, she will be able to encourage others to demand and create a personal integrity that enables them to have the life they deserve.
About the author
Debbie Greer Chamberlain combines her talent of building strong and lasting relationships with her passion of motivating and encouraging others. Debbie was raised in a nontraditional environment. Debbie and her siblings were placed in a Children's Home at the age of eleven. She accredits this unique upbringing as a contributing factor to her ability to relate and build relationships with people. The exceptional experience of living and growing up around over 100 different personalities as a young child through her teenage years had a huge impact on her compassion and quick understanding of people on a deeper level. Debbie has served on various committees, volunteered, raised funds, and has spoken to different groups over the years hoping to inspire and motivate people to challenge themselves to creating personal integrity in their lives. Through seminars she hopes to provide women, youth, and anyone struggling to overcome adversity with the keys to her success. She has combined a lifetime of life lessons with wisdom and applicable activities to help attendees accept their realities, visualize their futures, set goals, and action plans, forgive those that have hurt them and to find daily tools to help them fulfill God's purpose for them. She lives in Franklin with her adopted furry friend Charlie and is married to Michael Ladd. She has two amazing children, who she considers her most treasured gifts.
