Overview
Amateur golfers are saluted with good-spirited humor by author Don Boehm in his first book, You & I: True Stories of the Real Supporters of Golf. Every page sparkles with self-deprecating laughs and/or hilarious anecdotes - in showing how earnest golfers play, and learn life's lessons, while enjoying a leisurely stroll or ride through the park like setting of a golf course. Everyone loves a good yarn, and readers will chuckle their way through over 100 stories in this feisty collection where amateurs keep whacking away, ever so incredulously, at their games.

About the author
Don has been wielding golf clubs since the ripe young age of ten when his mother gave him a mish-mash set of clubs of different brands and shafts. After High School, his first job was with the maintenance crew of a new community golf course where they planted 700 trees in clay soil - which just about broke his back. since then, Don has been involved with other aspects of the game, from junior golf training programs to working behind the counter of the pro shop. A former president of his local men's league, Don has experienced the ups and downs of golf in numerous ways - but they haven't dimmed his love for the game. Don always thought his professional careers as contractor, stock broker and business owner were only a means to an end - in paying for his golfing mania.
