Overview
Light poetry for easy reading by poetry lovers and by readers who don't think they like poetry
Description
"Pushing Clouds Against the Wind is the second book by South Texas second life poet Allen Itz. His first book, "Seven Beats a Second" was described by one reviewer as "humerous...compelling and lovable...leaving out the pretentious, the politically correct and memory manipulation." This new book is like his first, simple, casual reading for both poetry lovers and those who think poetry is not for them.
About the author
Allen Itz is a 67 year old native South Texan, moving slowly over the years from a small town on the border in deep South Texas to San Antonio and the Texas hill country. He began as a writer in the late 1960's, published a few poems, then quit writing for nearly 30 years. He returned to poetry when he retired for the first time twelve years ago and has since published numerous poems in various on-line and print literary journals. He has one book, "Seven Beats a Second," published in 2005 and available now through his website at www.7beats.com, where readers can go for more information on his book, as well as a link to “Here and Now,” his weekly poetry and arts blog.
