About the author
Allen Itz is one of many second-life poets. He first began to write poetry, publishing several pieces, in the late 1960s. He quite writing with any consistency as his life became more complicated with career and family. In his third retirement now, he returned to poetry in the late 1990s, after his first, publishing both in both print and web-journals. For the past six years he has published a weekly poetry and arts journal ,"Here and Now," on line. He was born and raised in South Texas, just a few miles from the Rio Grande River, the U.S./Mexico border and currently lives in San Antonio, Texas.
