Overview
With over 100 images and a lively text, Anne Prather documents her life as a congenitally blind woman who gained sight in later life. She explores every aspect of her visual world, from the physical to the spiritual.
Description
In this remarkable book, artist, scientist and author Anne Harlan Prather answers one of life's most compelling questions: What is it like for someone born blind to see? In clear and concise text, with over 100 brilliantly colored images, Prather shares her unique visual world. She shows us what it's like to see into the near-ultraviolet, as she does. She shares what it was like after her cataract surgery when she found herself in a cartoon world. This is a book about art—but it is also a testimony of faith and courage.
