This life story is from Ron Newman who has spent over 60 years in the aviation industry as a licensed engineer, a pilot, an instrument-rated pilot, an instructor and an examiner. He has worked throughout Australia, mostly in remote areas such as deserts and jungle areas of Tasmania, New Guinea and the British Solomon Islands. He also did two trips to the Antarctic. He has accumulated over 18,000 hours, of which over 7,000 are instructional hours. He has a wealth of experience as a pilot and a wealth of experience as both a flying instructor and a theory instructor.
