Dr. Tchicaya Ellis Robertson is President and CEO of Worldwide Niche Marketing, LLC (WNM). WNM specializes in marketing, research, and analytics for small, large, public, private, and government organizations. Through the work at WNM, Dr. Robertson enjoys helping clients with everyday business concerns from establishing a brand identity to providing scholarly insight, via academic research, helping clients to evaluate whether programs or services are working effectively and efficiently. Prior to starting her own firm, Dr. Robertson worked at the Illinois Lottery managing the online contract and the online portfolio with responsibilities for the marketing, promotion, and research of the Lottery’s online lottery games. She began her career in the lottery industry as part of the executive team at the Maryland Lottery as Director of Research where she was responsible for all research conducted by or on behalf of the Maryland Lottery. Shortly thereafter her responsibilities included facilitation and administration of the Agency’s strategic planning program, making her Director of Research and Planning, responsible for all research and strategic planning activities at the Maryland Lottery. Tchicaya also served as Director of the Agency’s Minority Business Enterprise Program where she ensured Agency compliance with state laws and regulations regarding minority business concerns. Prior to joining the Maryland Lottery, Dr. Robertson worked as Manager of Organizational Analysis with a consulting firm in Washington, D.C. specializing in workforce effectiveness. Tchicaya is a native of Rockford, Illinois and graduate of Southern Illinois University’s Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral programs. Dr. Robertson earned her doctoral degree in 2000 from the Applied-Experimental Psychology program with a specialization in Industrial and Organizational Psychology. Her dissertation work was in the area of Consumer Behavior. Tchicaya has been honored in the lottery industry as a “Woman in Leadership” and has written about customer loyalty and its application in lottery industry in trade publications. She is a current or past member of the American Psychological Association, the American Marketing Association, and the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychologists. Dr. Robertson served on the Board of Directors of the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) program in Baltimore both as President and as Chair of the Strategic Planning Committee. She was also on the staff at Strayer University as adjunct professor teaching various psychology courses. Dr. Robertson is married with one daughter and enjoys reading, playing tennis, and entrepreneurship. Tchicaya lives her passion everyday as a wife, mother, author, and business owner.
