Mom, Dad What’s COVID-19?
by Jesse Raudales

Overview

Jesse Raudales continues to make our community proud.  He is using his talent to educate our youth about COVID-19 with beautiful illustrations.  This easy-to-understand bilingual book by a first-class artist belongs in every public library.

--former US Representative Franklin Garcia (DC)

As a recently retired teacher of twenty-five years in elementary grades and five years in middle school, I know this book will be a wonderful resource for teachers and parents when explaining Covid.  Eyes will be instantly drawn to the colorful illustrations that perfectly accompany the informational text.  Parents and educators can utilize this source with children of all ages.  Bravo Mr. Raudales for creating a book that simplifies Covid virus information for children!

--Sandy Alston, Retired teacher of 30 years, Wilson, NC

How wonderful for extraordinary artist Jesse, to come up with such a time important and useful way of applying his inordinate painting talent and creativity to something that could legitimately protect and potentially save lives from disaster. Every home and school and office, would do quite well to have a copy of this book handy….God bless you, Jessie, for caring.

--Claudia Wells, actress, business owner, Jennifer Parker in ‘Back To The Future,’ owner of Armani Wells store, circa 1991, single mom, ambassador for kidsinthespotlight.org & gardenoflife

Description

This nonfiction book can help answer some of the most common questions children may have about the Covid-19 virus. By understanding the virus, your child can be part of the global effort to fight it off. Within a year COVID-19 has changed the way we live; our children witnessed a major societal shift. Social distancing mask-wearing, hand sanitizer stations, have been enforced in public spaces. Everything from sports, community events, and social gatherings have been canceled. Schools were shut down, everyone all around the world has been affected by the Covid-19 virus. Its lasting effects will remain with us for years to come. I hope this book can help children stay resilient and uplifted during these troubled times as well as helping them understand the Covid-19 virus.

About the author

Internationally acclaimed celebrity artist Jesse Raudales, whose work is featured in museums, galleries, organizations, and homes of many collectors, displays a deep sense of Pure Originality, Beauty, Spirituality, Strength and Reality in his images. For any artist, it would be a dream come true to be selected as one of the artists to create an image to commemorate the 2006 US Olympic Team. That dream is now a reality for Jesse Raudales, a North Hollywood based artist, who was selected among thousands of applicants to represent the 2006 Olympic Games, standing next to his fellow artist, Jane Seymour, and Peter Maxx. His Olympic painting, "Peace for the Children of the World" opened in California, toured to New York, and then went on to the Olympic Games in Torino, Italy. Since becoming an Olympian, Raudales has been honored by the NAACP, FBI, Warner Bros. and the EPICC Center and featured as a rising artist in international press. Raudales was the first Latino artist from the USA chosen for the 2006 Olympic Games and has received high acclaim for his passion to paint and dedication as a father. His artwork has been featured on television and in the homes of many celebrities including Academy Award nominee, Terrence Howard, Tommy Ford, Kym Whitley, Tom Joyner, Miguel A. Nunez, Jr., Dr. Dre, Jermaine Jackson, and many more. His list of accomplishments also includes illustrating several children's books with Actor Tommy Ford. Este libro de no ficción puede ayudar a responder algunas de las preguntas más comunes que los niños puedan tener sobre el virus Covid-19.
