About the author
Brin Marie is the seventh child of eleven siblings and was the first of the eleven to attend college where she earned her bachelor's degree from Arkansas Tech University in 1999. Education has always been a driving force in her life and she drives that point home with her three children, Parker, Alexander, and Brooklin, whom she dedicated her first children's book, Meanbone. While growing up in the small town of Marlow, Oklahoma, she always kept a journal where she kept alive her passion for writing. It was in Marlow, Oklahoma where she was first published as a writer for her hometown newspaper, the Marlow Review. In 1993, after a semester at Old Dominion University, in Virginia, she developed a rare blood disorder and had to take some time off. It was during this time that she began working at Beverly Enterprises, now Golden Living, Inc. and was able to transfer to Fort Smith, Arkansas with her company. Determined to finish her college education, she worked three part-time jobs in order to complete her studies and graduated Magna Cum Laude from ATU. She is employed as a sales analyst in Fort Smith, Arkansas and writing is a most loved hobby of hers. Though she also enjoys playing the piano, landscaping her yard, and a good game of chess, she is most passionate about her writing. Brin Marie is married to Stephen Boudreaux who illustrated her book Meanbone along with their daughter, Brooklin Marie Stephiana Boudreaux.
