About the author
Gongmaster Don Conreaux holds master degrees in Theatre Arts, a 1950’s disciple of Kriya Yoga’s Paramahansa Yogananda; formerly, Baba Don/ Guru Jagat Singh Khalsa. One of the five original Kundalini Yoga Teachers designated by Yogi Bhajan in 1969. Established Nanak Dwara Ashram Teacher Training 1970 -1976 in Phoenix, Arizona. Originated The Gong Yoga of Holistic Resonance, Gong Therapy, Gong Bath; and Gong Master Training in the Way of the Gong. Has produced students of the gong in many countries of the world since. Don draws upon his more than 55 years of yoga and sound work. Since 1985, has been teaching his Gong Yoga system of exercise for rejuvenation, as well as the ceremonial arts and practice with the Gong and other tone producing instruments. He is an advisor to numerous humanitarian and environmental organizations, conducts annual Artists for Humanity concerts with his ground breaking Mysterious Tremendum Ensemble. He leads workshops and training retreats around the world, bringing awareness of the gong and its direct relationship to stress reduction and subsequent healing; and the role of tone vibration as a tool for expanding awareness and global unity. As design director of Starhenge, he is building a network of peace bell gardens and land mandalas around the world. He maintains a private practice in NYC.
