This book is about a Veteran's Day program and Mable's reaction when the American flag is being disrespected.

This book is about a Veteran's Day program in which Mable's father, a marine attends. Mable rides home with her father after the program and sees a group of people disrespecting the American flag. Her father encourages her to always do her best by respecting the flag and not letting other people influence her in a negative way.

The author Camille Takuski lives in Mitchell, Nebraska with her husband. She is a mother of three daughters and grandmother to 13. All of the disrespect for the American Flag and our veterans has inspired her to write this book and to encourage children to respect the flag.
