Our story begins as Mabel opens her mailbox in wonder to discover her new face mask has finally arrived. ​Following Mabel's story are five short tales of other children who are beginning their own journeys of the new reality where wearing masks is part of their everyday lives. Mabel's Mask showcases a diverse set of children and families, and encourages dialogue between adults and children around the multitude of changes happening in their lives due to the Coronavirus outbreak.
About the author

Sarah Greenwell is the owner of Her Move, a boutique recruitment firm focused on connecting software start-ups with women in leadership. Sarah enjoys yoga, live music, fun themed 5K's, and most of all, spending time with her husband Matt, children Lincoln, Eve, and Arbor, and dog Wrigley. Sarah is uncomfortable cooking bacon and writing in the third person.

Jonathan Hart, whose own red hair rivals Mabel's, is the Owner and Design Director for Bigmouth Creative. Jonathan believes graphic design is the perfect blend of math, science and art. A marathon runner and amateur chef, Jonathan has watched nearly every episode of “Battlestar Galactica.” Jonathan lives in Chicago with his husband Jason and fur babies, Clark and Ollie.
