Overview

In Love and Life Through the Eyes of Travel, the author presents twelve lessons on love and relationships based on his experience traveling with former partners. Each lesson begins with the author’s recollection of a past trip: he recalls the purpose of the journey, describes the woman he invited, and relates an anecdote that serves as a (sometimes negative) exemplar of a healthy relationship. Each lesson includes several accompanying proclamations and affirmations that generalize his experience; these often take the form of advice directed at the reader. The author includes sixty proclamations in all, covering such topics as the importance of fidelity; the need to accept one’s partner’s flaws; and the imperative to know oneself before falling in love.
