Have you ever taken a look at our world, full of hurting and needy people, and wondered, “Why doesn’t somebody do something?” My friend, that “somebody” is you.
Description
Have you ever taken a look at our world, full of hurting and needy people, and wondered, “Why doesn’t somebody do something?” My friend, that “somebody” is you. God calls Christians to care for others as He has for us, and He established clear guidelines in the Bible to show us how to love by giving of ourselves and our resources. Unfortunately, too many Christians either don’t know or don’t obey these principles, leaving others to suffer needlessly and allowing ourselves to miss great blessings and tremendous opportunities to be used by God. Giving is who God is, and with help and practice, it can be a key trait in your life as well. Join us as we take a deeper look into what it means to make a difference for God’s Kingdom – and transform your life in the process – by learning how to give.
About the author
Mike LaBahn is a father of five and a man of great accomplishments. He and Julie started LaBahn's Landscaping in 1981, and for several years they maintained full-time employment outside of the business to make ends meet. Through much hard work and persistence, he finally achieved one of his lifetime goals - being a business owner. It has been a long and rewarding process to build a successful family business with his wife. Mike is also a board member of his church and is actively involved in church leadership. He coaches the boys' basketball team at his children's school. Mike and Julie provide marital counseling for couples and one-on-one mentoring. Mike is in the final stages of publishing his latest book, "Secrets of Proverbs." He has also teaches classes on finance and gives inspirational lectures on goal-setting. Mike has enjoyed 'marrying' his talents with his wife's to grow a thriving business in their hometown. In addition, Mike is enjoying sharing his expertise and love of the business with the couple's daughter, Joanna, as the company continues to grow. In 2009 Mike began working on print versions of his regular seminars and workshops on financial management matters. To date, he has published three books on strategies to help Christians achieve more with the resources God has given them: Money Management God's Way (2011), Live to Give (2012), and Practical Principles from Proverbs (2012).
