Complete with captivating, bright illustrations, this book will be a perfect gift for young ones! The Kira and Lulu books were inspired by the real Kira and her sweet, inquisitive nature to learn. Illustrations were a labor of love by Kira's Mom (Kat) and Grandma Karen. All art in this book is rendered in acrylic. ​We sincerely hope you and yours enjoy the books as much as we did creating them!

About the author


Kat and her husband Ben Davidson run Space Weather News, a provider of data, news, analysis and forecasting of space weather and terrestrial events, as well as a research organization in the field of solar-terrestrial physics. They traveled across the United States and Canada in 2014 doing educational outreach, letting kids see sunspots with their own eyes and generating excitement for all things Sun and Space Weather related. They ended the journey to welcome their daughter, Kira, who is the inspiration for these books. Their first children's book is titled 'Kira and Lulu Visit the Sun' - introducing little ones to sunspots and solar flares.
