About the Author: Joy M. Ruiseñor has a bachelor's degree in Bilingual Childhood Education & Psychology with a minor in Studio Arts from The City College of New York (CCNY). Joy M. Ruiseñor has also completed a master's degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) at CCNY. During her undergraduate studies, Joy M. Ruiseñor participated in undergraduate biology research programs for several years. Joy M. Ruiseñor is currently an elementary school teacher and artist.
A team of book ambassadors with education backgrounds and/or careers represent this book. Everyone involved in this project wants to encourage each reader to know that they too can someday work with a team to express their love for science and the STEM fields through the arts and writing.
About the Illustrator: Daniel Song pursued his art degree at The City College of New York and graduated in May of 2015. He specialized in sketching, and has been drawing since he was two years old. At the time of writing this bio, that would be nearly 37 years of drawing. An avid lover of science in general, Daniel has a strong belief that science should set a baseline for thought in all things.
