Description
Is Everybody HAPPY!?! is a detailed account of the history and principles discovered and leveraged by S. Truett Cathy through Chick-fil-A, a restaurant chain he led that nurtured a culture where success and happiness thrive. For over 50 years Chick-fil-A has successfully put business men and women into their own restaurant where they earn a good living and are in a position to give back to the communities that support their business. The author looks at the influences in Truett Cathy's life that led to twenty principles contained in the book, principles anyone can apply to their life and/or business. The reader will discover how a child of the Great Depression took lessons learned from his mother's boarding house and his first restaurant, The Dwarf House, in Hapeville, Georgia and built a restaurant empire that puts other people into the restaurant business with very little investment and creates millions of positive interactions with customers every day throughout the United States. Truett believed that most people 'go where they are invited and return where they are appreciated' and made this the foundation for his company's service model. The business practices driving the phenomenal success of Chick-fil-A can be adopted by any individual or organization to enhance their morale and performance. Truett's 'What can I do for you?' approach to life and business is explored through the principles he lived by. When you are able to be successful by helping other people become successful, happiness is a natural by-product.
