Description
This book is a tribute to my lovely life partner, Alan, who taught me so much and who battled courageously with cancer for 18 months against impossible odds. The book documents what we learned through our experience of coping with cancer from my perspective as the primary carer for my loved one. It includes a great deal of practical information, links to sources and products, information about the conventional methods of treating cancer and numerous proven complementary treatment options. The book describes the positive approach we adopted in coping with the physical, emotional and psychological ups and downs and how we expanded spiritually in the process. I pray that it helps other people on their own journey with cancer.
About the author
Linney Elder describes herself as a nomad, intuitive healer, information junkie and a perennial student of life. Linney was born in the UK and emigrated to South Africa in 1970, where she fell in love with and embraced all the magic and mystery of Africa. At the age of thirty nine, she shed all her worldly possessions and moved to the UK to broaden her horizons and to experience the thrill of sailing. She has extensively explored and experienced holistic healing and was attuned as a Reiki Master/Teacher at sacred Stonehenge in 2002. After nine years in the UK, she returned to her beloved South Africa. She worked for many years as a professional researcher before following her passion to work full time as a freelance researcher and writer.
