by Kent Tucker and Patti Townley-Covert

Overview
The last twenty yards before the goal—in football that’s the Red Zone, the place where the team with the ball is so close to the goal that they have a good chance to score. During a spiritual journey, being in the Red Zone means God has already drawn an individual down life’s field to a place where he’s ready to enter into a personal relationship with Jesus. Using football imagery and quotes from legendary coaches, Red Zone Evangelism (RZE) sets forth a powerful game plan that equips believers to assist individuals across the goal line of faith—a move that will change their lives for eternity.
Description
The last twenty yards before the goal—in football that’s the Red Zone, the place where the team with the ball is so close to the goal that they have a good chance to score. During a spiritual journey, being in the Red Zone means God has already drawn an individual down life’s field to a place where he’s ready to enter into a personal relationship with Jesus. Using dramatic stories (his own and others), Kent Tucker shows Christians how to identify someone who wants to hear about Jesus. Then, Tucker equips believers with what to say to help him enter into a personal relationship with Jesus and follow up afterward. "Biblical Coaching Sessions," throughout the book, show how Red Zone Evangelism (RZE) is an age-old game plan first used by Jesus, then Paul and others. Quotes from legendary coaches and players (Joe Gibbs, John Wooden, Tim Tebow, and others) keep the book dynamic and make the concepts easy to understand. Insights from spiritual leaders (Rebecca Pippert, Lee Strobel, Bill Hybels and more) heighten the action for these RZE strategies. Step-by-step In the Red Zone generates a sense of urgency and builds the confidence of readers to share their faith in an effective way that will produce eternal rewards. Discussion questions at the end of each chapter, by creative outreach strategist Garry Poole, make this book a powerful resource for pastors and small group leaders, as well as for personal reflection.
About the author
DR. KENT TUCKER loves God and people. His passion to help seekers come to know their Savior and become fully devoted followers of Christ began developing while Tucker was a student at UCLA through his involvement with Campus Crusade for Christ. After receiving his Masters of Theology at Dallas Theological Seminary, then a Doctorate in Ministry at Fuller Theological Seminary, Dr. Tucker filled associate and senior pastor roles for more than 40 years. During this time, he continually explored the most effective ways to teach believers how to share their faith. In 2006, Dr. Tucker became the founder and president of How to Share Your Faith, an equipping ministry that trains believers to lead people to Christ. Since then churches in 48 states and 15 countries have started using his video curriculum. Dr. Tucker conducts evangelism-training seminars and conferences all over the country. He lives in Rancho Cucamonga, CA with his wife, Betsy. They have two adult children and three grandchildren.
