About the author


Pablo Agrio is a former Marine and police officer who spent time in prison for murder. During his incarceration he obtained a law degree. In April 2000 his essay Living Like Animals in a Cage was published by the San Francisco Chronicle and Boot Camp: My Signature Strength Story received 2nd place in the fall 2016 edition of the Veterans' Voices contest. Most recently his essay Thoughts on Self-Forgiveness was published online by ENDPAIN. He is a member of the UCLA Wordcommandos Creative Writing Workshop for Veterans.
