Overview
The book is an informal guide/memoir, written to help and advise anyone intending to visit or take a film to the Cannes Film Festival. It is written by both a filmmaker and an events coordinator/personal assistant, and is intended to offer advice to people from each of the industries.
Description
In a fairly conversational and casual approach, we pass on what we’ve learned and the mistakes we’ve made, all with the intention of helping you make the most of your experience as a result of our experience. This is by no means an attempt at an authoritative instruction manual, but we hope to give you a positive insight. The book itself is formed of two parts, year 1 and year 2, and speaks of our visit in 2010 and our visit in 2011. The information and advice found in this book can be applied to, and may be interesting for many people. It can be useful to: Anyone planning to visit Cannes Film Festival Actors Filmmakers Personal assistants Event coordinators People who feel a bit overwhelmed but want to give Cannes a go.
