Overview
This is the story of Anna and Thomas (Babe) White and their eight children, and their adventures of moving an old house to land they would soon learn was haunted. Was it really a ghost? Or simply their imaginations in an old house with its own personality? Was it a man who had perished by drowning in the nearby Brazos river? Did a Ouija board at a family gathering reveal the truth? You be the judge.
Description
Thomas (Babe) White was a veteran of WW II who lost a leg in the war. Upon returning home, and while recuperating from his injuries, he met the love of his life, Anna. They would go on to build an adventurous life, with the birth of eight children, multiple business ventures, and moving an old house to a piece of land they would come to realize was haunted. The story details the many family adventures and ghostly encounters, all while navigating school, work, trials and tragedy. The accounts in the book are based on recollections from the family members themselves, told as only they can tell it.
About the author
Barbara White has a bachelor's degree in business from Tarleton State University and has a background in government and politics. She is married to David White, one of eight siblings of the Thomas (Babe) and Anna White family. Throughout her married life, she has heard stories of the White family's ghost and was compelled to record their memories, along with the family history. Barbara and her husband reside in the Waco, Texas area.
