Description

Poems of Love, Life and Loss written by a widow regarding her feelings of love for her husband who has passed on due to cancer. The poems cover times of sadness, anger, hurt, love, support, hope and memories. The poems are intended for the reader to be able to relate to what others go through when they are grieving. It is also intended for anyone who is suffering from grief of any kind to know that they are not alone, there is support available through family, friends, church, books or others to help you through the most difficult days. Many people feel awkward bringing up the topic of a death or they just don't know what to say other than "How are you doing". ? A book or some other gesture can be a nice way to say you care without having a conversation sometimes. The person going through the grief can lean on others but they need to go through the grief on their own and in their own personal way. As the author, I found reading books, poems or listening to others advice on how they got through it to be really beneficial to know I was not going crazy especially on my worst days. Grief is not a topic that a lot of people like or want to talk about. I truly hope that the time that I took to write these poems, document them and make myself vulnerable to the world, does some good for someone somewhere.

About the author
Brenda Tecce is loving wife and mother of two children. Raised and educated in Massachusetts. Family values, hard work and perseverance were important values with which she and her husband raised their family. She was married for over 30 years to her husband and best friend before his passing in 2013. She continues to work full-time as an experienced executive in her industry. She has served on many not-for-profit boards in addition to other volunteer roles within her community. Brenda had the experience of unexpectedly becoming a widow. Reading about grief and how to manage it, talking with friends and family members who cared as well as writing about her feelings were some of the ways she coped. After writing her life story in a private book for her grandchildren, she was then inspired to go further as an author to share her grief experience for the benefit of others who also may be going through a similar experience of loss.
