Overview
This book was inspired by far too many stories about gun violence and active shooters causing deaths, pain, and sorrow. On the surface, "Gray Haired Angels" seems dark and dystopian, but it is real as can be. When elderly people living in hospice with terminal illnesses now face heartbreak after losing loved ones to gun violence, they must make a choice. At the center is a passionate man who is a highly educated benefactor and knows he can help others find retribution. This is a story of hope, love, life, and redemption. Readers will be faced with two fundamental questions: Could you take a life? Would you be able to die for it? a conversation starter for sure!

About the author
d.d.diamond was born in Brooklyn, NY. in the shadows of his beloved Ebbets Field. It was the first place his parents allowed him to go to other than school. His love of baseball and other sports continued throughout his life. Later on he would conduct presentations about the Dodgers at multiple venues, clubs and meetings. He has had two professional careers in his life. First as a social worker specializing in foster care he assisted pregnant teenage girls in enabling them to make good choices and also was an Adoptive Home Study supervisor helping to place children with families. After 14 years he changed careers and became a Financial Advisor. While working full time he became proficient doing stand up in clubs and financial conferences. To date, he has never been published, though he has written many poems and essays. Now at age 76 he has written his first novel. What has caused him to write this book? Primarily it has been the ever increasing acts of gun violence which has brought grief to so many families in this country. Hopefully this book will awaken people's hearts and minds to a more loving world.
