Description

A Biblically based, graphic novel on the fruit of the spirit found in Galatians 5:22-23. The fruit of the spirit is a Biblical phrase that encompasses the nine attributes of a Believer living in unity with the Holy Spirit. Although there is only one fruit, it has nine characteristics - love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Those who are in Christ bear fruit. In other words, thoughts, speech, and behavior reveal what the heart is made of. This book explains what the fruit is, and how its presence or lack thereof is displayed in the life of young believers using everyday scenarios with their peers along with a corresponding self-reflection. Young people today have so much to contend with, it is paramount to ensure they've "Got Fruit" to live healthy lives despite what popular culture views as the norm. Teens need to be equipped to stand against pop culture when pop culture is going against God.

Author Mrs. Rickelle M. Albury wears many hats inclusive of Believer, wife, mother of 3, educator, entrepreneur, and now author. She has a desire to see young people live life God's way. She is passionate about her family, faith, fitness, and finances. Rickelle continues to bloom where she is planted, and receive spiritual pruning for the productivity of good fruit for a spirit filled life. She realizes that she can do nothing without Christ and maintains an intimate relationship with Him. Illustrator Sonee' Seymour is an energetic seventeen year old, High School senior who is passionate about art. She enjoys reading and drawing in her spare time. She plans to pursue a career in agriculture and further said knowledge by becoming a horticulturist with a successful produce farm.
